Driving In Style For Pride
On June 26, FCWC hosted a Pride Parade to stand for equality.
People cheered as the brightly decorated vehicles drove through NCN under dramatic skies.
It is so important for 2SLGBTQQIA+ Citizens in NCN to know that they are seen and appreciated. Members of the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community often face unique difficulties in making their way through the world. They may face the rejection of their family and friends. They may experience poverty, inadequate housing, and a lack of educational or employment opportunities. Statistically speaking, 2SLGBTQQIA+ people face more violence, addiction and food insecurity.
Everyone, regardless of their sexual and/or gender identity, deserves respect and community. Thank you for caring, NCN!
