Child & Family
Services (CFS)
Each CFS sub-office provides family services and preventative services to NCN Citizens living in that area. It aims to maintain family unity and to complete family reunification with a strengths-based approach. This often includes harm reduction through family support service agreements to prevent children from coming into care.
We strive to maintain traditions, customs and cultures of the NCN community.
CFS employees are often students in the Bachelor of Social Work program, providing current care standards and learning leading-edge theories and practices.
This program currently operates in all six NCN locations: Nelson House, Winnipeg, Brandon, South Indian Lake, Thompson and Leaf Rapids. Contact your local sub-office for more information.
