Foot Care Nurse

Position Summary

The Foot Care Nurse provides specialized foot care services to community members, with a focus on prevention, assessment, treatment, and education. The role supports overall health and wellness by helping clients maintain mobility and prevent complications associated with chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct foot assessments and evaluations.
• Provide routine and advanced foot care treatments.
• Identify and monitor risk factors related to diabetes and other health conditions.
• Educate clients regarding foot health and preventative care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and client records.
• Make referrals to physicians and specialists as required.
• Participate in community health promotion activities.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Manitoba.
• Advanced Foot Care Certification preferred.
• Experience providing foot care services.
• Knowledge of diabetic foot care and prevention.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence.
