Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Family Enhancement Supervisor, the Family Enhancement Worker provides prevention-focused services to strengthen families and promote the safety and well-being of children. The successful candidate will work directly with families to identify strengths, develop plans, and connect them with supports that help maintain family unity and stability.
Key Responsibilities
Family Support
- Conduct family assessments and develop service plans.
- Provide in-home support and guidance to parents and caregivers.
- Assist families in identifying strengths and goals.
- Connect families with community resources and support services.
- Support parents in developing healthy parenting practices.
- Monitor and document family progress.
- Advocate for families and children.
Case Management
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Participate in case planning and team meetings.
- Prepare reports as required.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with program policies.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Child and Family Services, or a related field.
- Experience working with children and families.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and family systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence.
- Child Abuse Registry, Adult Abuse Registry, and Criminal Record Checks required.
