Position Summary

The Case Worker provides direct services to children, youth, and families through assessment, planning, intervention, and support. The position works to ensure the safety and well-being of children while supporting families in achieving positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management

  • Complete assessments and develop case plans.
  • Provide ongoing support and monitoring.
  • Coordinate services and referrals.
  • Conduct home visits and client meetings.
  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation.
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings.

Advocacy & Support

  • Advocate for children and families.
  • Connect clients with community resources.
  • Support family reunification and permanency planning.
  • Ensure services are culturally appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Social Work or a related field.
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and families.
  • Strong assessment and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of child welfare legislation and practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence.
  • Child Abuse Registry, Adult Abuse Registry, and Criminal Record Checks required.
